Gordon Francis Poole, Jr., 70, of Reidsville passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.
Frank, as he was known to everyone that knew and loved him, was born August 17, 1953, the first son of Gordon Francis Poole, Sr. and Judith Anice Poole. He made many cherished memories with his parents, his six siblings, and his beloved grandmother Laura Lee.
In addition to his parents and grandmother, he was preceded in death by his older sister and best friend, Judith Poole Anderson, and brothers Howard Scott Poole and Andrew Reid Poole.
Frank attended Reidsville City Schools and started working at a young age to support his model car hobby. As an adult he worked at Miller Brewing, Lorillard Tobacco, Overhead Door, and Tyco Electronics. Later in life, he attended Rockingham Community College to obtain his machinist degree. Frank could spend all day in his garage fixing cars, lawnmowers, or just listening to the race.
He was a kind soul, a great man, a wonderful father, and loved helping everyone. He always had a joke to tell and loved to make everyone laugh. Frank’s greatest joy was his children and grandchildren, and always said they were the reason he was alive.
Left to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy are his beloved son, pride, and joy, Joshua Adam Poole (Beatriz), daughters Mary Perry (Terry) and IviJo Williams (David); grandchildren Shannon Benson (Tyler); Natalie, Madeline, Daniel and EvieJo Williams; brother James Wesley Poole; and sisters Martha Christine O’Dell and Katrina Stanley (Ron).
May Frank’s laughter echo through the memories of those who knew and loved him.
