Marjorie “Margie” Knight Roberson, 75, of 8015 Benaja Road, Browns Summit, went home to be with The Lord, Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at her home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Friendship United Methodist Church with Pastor Kevin Cochran officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Marjorie was born in Rockingham County to the late Buck and Ruth Talley Knight. She was a caregiver for many years and was a longtime and faithful member of Friendship United Methodist Church. Marjorie enjoyed cooking, sewing, and making stained glass windows and no matter what, her family always came first. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Melvin Delton Roberson, and twin sister Marsha Knight Phillips
Marjorie is survived by her son Mike Delton Roberson and wife Tammy; grandchildren Troy Randolph Roberson and Trey Delton Roberson; brothers Pete Knight (Judy), Joe Knight, Marty Knight (Joan), Randy Knight (Janie), and Ronald Patterson (Mindy); sisters Dawn Priddy (Darrell), and Shirley Nelson West; numerous nieces and nephews; brother-in-law Giles Lewis; and sister-in-law Jewel Roberson Lewis.
